Sample review · Rear Window turns looking into an action sequence. The courtyard geography is so clear that tiny changes become events. I keep noticing how much story is told at the edge of the main character’s attention. A memorable setting can sell me on almost anything.

Sample review · Se7en is all texture: wet streets, worn rooms, a city that never seems to exhale. It is effective, but this rewatch made me appreciate its restraint in some scenes and question its insistence in others. The performances are what draw me back.
