It's July of 1969. The most historical event in history has just occurred. Families and friends have all come together to see the impossible happen: The Moon Landing. Dave Hunter is accompanied by his loving wife, Carolyn, and his space aficionado son, Charlie, for the President Nixon broadcast of welcoming the astronauts back to Earth. Dave is not only thrilled to see the astronauts return home, but also eager to begin his assignment as a darkroom photographer for NASA. He's been selected to develop photos from the moon landing for LIFE Magazine. Dave is very passionate about his career, but he always makes time for his family.
