Time to Get Married

The story

Azam, a livestock specialist, returns to his home collective farm after completing his studies, bringing along his friend Saifi, an artist. They are met by two young women named Zebo—one nicknamed "Dark-Complexioned" and the other "Gentle." As time passes, Azam learns that one of the Zebos is in love with Saifi; he mistakenly believes it is the "Gentle" Zebo—the very one he loves himself. Meanwhile, Saifi believes that the "Dark-Complexioned" Zebo has fallen out of love with him and has chosen Azam instead. The two friends vow not to see the "faithless" Zebo, while the two young women decide to stop seeing them as well. Azam’s father, Karim-aka, wants his son to marry the collective farm chairman’s daughter—the "Dark-Complexioned" Zebo. Upon hearing the name, Azam agrees, assuming the match is with the "Gentle" Zebo. However, during the formal proposal visit, Azam discovers that the "Dark-Complexioned" Zebo is the intended bride and flatly refuses to go through with the marriage.
