After Haryani's father remarries another woman, Haryani (Siti Khadijah Halim) frequently rebels by blaming her mother, Maimun (Sharifah Shahora) for allowing this to happen and for her father leaving them. Haryani is unaware that she has been influenced by the words of her grandmother, Nek Yah (Azizah Mahzan) who still harbors resentment and views Maimun's decision to marry Hazwan as a mistake.
