Diego Viani is a former robber, well-known in the 1980s for his "unarmed" heists. His best friend is Michele Ragusa, a shabby private investigator scraping by on cases of marital infidelity. Working alongside him is Alex, an unpaid intern—a clumsy "mama’s boy" who dreams of becoming a detective despite having no talent for it. Everything spirals out of control when Diego’s past resurfaces in the form of Salamandra, an old accomplice.
