Alex Walker

Alex is a cinematographer and colorist based in Austin, Texas, working across film, television, and commercial projects. He recently shot House of Abraham, directed by Lisa Belcher and starring Natasha Henstridge, Lukas Hassel, and Lin Shaye, released theatrically by Abramorama. He served as cinematographer and colorist on Texas Cult House, directed by Julia Barnett and starring Ryan Cooper and Adrianne Palicki, which premiered at Austin Film Festival 2024 and is now streaming on Tubi. He also shot A Christmas in New Hope, directed by Julia Barnett and starring Katrina Bowden, Ryan Cooper, and Adrianne Palicki, which had a theatrical release and is now streaming. Alex’s documentary and commercial work spans presidential campaigns, true crime stories, and cowboy life. He’s filmed across the U.S., Mexico, and South America, from nuclear reactors in Texas to ranches in Patagonia. As a colorist, Alex also leads finishing work on projects he didn’t shoot, collaborating closely with directors and distributors. He also develops the software his work depends on, building tools that fill the gaps in existing systems — for camera calibration, color, and post. Outside of production, he’s an avid iPhone photographer who collects screen-used props and builds high-accuracy replicas, primarily from sci-fi films.
