Isabel Abreu

Isabel Abreu (born Maria Isabel Abreu Correia Pereira) is a Portuguese actress. She is married to director Tiago Guedes. TRAINING: Abreu graduated in Theatre from the Lisbon Theatre and Film School in 1998. THEATRE: Catarina and the Beauty of Killing Fascists (National Theatre, UK and international tours from Festival d'Avignon); other theatre includes: Hamlet at Théâtre de l'Odéon, Paris; Black Lights on tour; and numerous collaborations with directors such as Tiago Rodrigues, Marco Martins, Nuno Cardoso, Tonan Quito, Miguel Loureiro, Mathilde Monnier and Christiane Jatahy. FILM: Sérgio Graciano's Uma Vida à Espera; Sandro Aguilar's Primeira Pessoa no Plural (main competition at the Rotterdam International Film Festival) and Mariphasa; Carlos Conceição's Serpentário; Tiago Guedes' Remains of the Wind (world premiere at Cannes, France) and Diálogos depois do Fim (presented at LEFFEST); and Paulo Abreu's Ubu (presented at LEFFEST).
