Krister Linder

Krister Linder is a Swedish-Kongolese composer and artist whose work for film and television is recognized for its distinctive blend of electroacoustic textures and evocative sonic landscapes. Working across feature films, television, and documentary, he has developed a deeply personal and emotionally resonant musical voice, creating scores that become an integral part of a project's narrative and emotional world. His feature film work gained international attention with Metropia (2009), director Tarik Saleh's animated science-fiction film, where Linder's score played a central role in shaping the film's dense, dystopian atmosphere. The collaboration marked the beginning of an ongoing creative partnership with Saleh, continuing through The Nile Hilton Incident, winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, and Boy from Heaven, which premiered in competition at the Cannes Film Festival and won Best Screenplay. Recent credits include Salem, directed by Jean-Bernard Marlin and selected for the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes, and A Day and a Half, the directorial debut of actor and filmmaker Fares Fares for Netflix.
