Yousuf Azami

Yousuf Azami (also credited as Chookie Sibuo / Yousef Azani) is an Afghan-American actor (5′ 8″), SAG-AFTRA member, based in Los Angeles. He escaped the Taliban as a refugee and began acting in 1997. He speaks Pashto, Russian, Arabic, and Dari/Farsi. His career is concentrated in military/war and Middle Eastern roles. His film credits include Crank (2006, as Arab Cabbie), Brothers (2009), Lone Survivor (2013), Camp X-Ray (2014), and 12 Strong (2018). On television he appeared in SEAL Team, Shooter, and The Unit. He also did voice work for Medal of Honor and Red Dead Redemption. His date of birth is unconfirmed. No major awards are on record.
