Sample review · The Iron Giant pairs a huge silhouette with such gentle physical acting. The ordinary conversations are what make the larger ideas work. Still one of my favourite arguments for animation’s emotional range. A memorable setting can sell me on almost anything.

Sample review · Fantastic Mr. Fox has the lovely unevenness of things made by hand. The tiny movements and clothes are a delight, but the family friction stops it becoming just a beautiful object. Autumn viewing, obviously. Always interested in how a story finds its ending.
