Sample review · Rear Window turns looking into an action sequence. The courtyard geography is so clear that tiny changes become events. I keep noticing how much story is told at the edge of the main character’s attention. The performances are what draw me back.

Sample review · Se7en is all texture: wet streets, worn rooms, a city that never seems to exhale. It is effective, but this rewatch made me appreciate its restraint in some scenes and question its insistence in others. I like a film that leaves room to think.
