Sample review · About Time works best for me when it pays attention to family routines rather than the mechanics of its premise. There is warmth in the ordinary scenes. I wish some of its choices around romance were examined more closely. The performances are what draw me back.

Sample review · Notting Hill’s supporting cast is doing heroic work. The dinners feel like a different, slightly messier film brushing against the fairy tale. A comfort rewatch, with a healthy allowance for impossible London housing. I tend to notice the sound before the plot.
